EUMETSAT SAF Products

14th October 2015

Fire extent, ash/burnt area and soil moisture products are being delivered operationally by EUMETSAT (for Europe, through the SAF framework), and there are plans to further develop these applications using next-generation GEO satellites such as MTG. Utilising specialist expertise from the Member States, EUMETSAT Satellite Application Facilities (SAFs) are dedicated centres of excellence for processing satellite data. They form an integral part of the distributed EUMETSAT Application Ground Segment.

SAF products are presented on the EUMETSAT EO Portal.
